At dusk we went out on a birding trip along the Daintree river with Ian "sauce" Worcester. We were away from the main parts of the jungle so the birding was much better but it was approaching dusk and from the boat photography was difficult. However I've attached a couple of photos here because they might be all I get of these two wonderful birds which are Dollarbird and Papuan frogmouth, the latter on its nest. The other star bird on the trip was black bittern which I didn't manage to photograph. Other new birds included spangled drongo, pheasant coucal (wow!), eastern keol, azure kingfisher, forest kingfisher and Horsfield's bronze-cuckoo.
